Following the path of Abrar Fahad, I am fighting against Indian hegemony: Nahid

National Citizens Party (NCP) convener Nahid Islam said, “We are the successors of Shaheed Abrar Fahad. We are standing on the ground of that Shaheed Abrar Fahad, we are standing on the ground of Shaheed Yameen. We have clearly said that from Shaheed Abrar to Shaheed Abu Sayeed, Shaheed Yameen, we will move forward by embracing the hopes and aspirations of the people of Bangladesh, the hopes and aspirations against hegemony and aggression.”

Nahid Islam said this at a road meeting at the intersection of five roads in Kushtia city around 3 pm today, Tuesday.

The NCP convener also said, “We are fighting against Indian hegemony along the path of Abrar Fahad. Again, if any political party, any political faction wants to become a slave to that hegemony, we will stand against it. The people of Bangladesh will create resistance against it. We have clearly raised the slogan, not slavery, we want freedom. We have been freed from the slavery of India, we have been freed from the slavery of Delhi.’

Earlier, at around 2:30 pm, NCP leaders and workers started the July march on NS Road in the city, drenched in heavy rain. NCP convener Nahid Islam, chief organizer (south) Hasnat Abdullah, chief organizer (north) Sarjis Alam, chief coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari, joint convener Nusrat Tabassum and senior joint member secretary Tasneem Zara waved their hands and greeted the people on both sides of the road. Later, the march passed through Thana Mor and met at Panch Rasta Mor for a road meeting.
